The
"Vampire Diaries'" star's
co-presenter wouldn't stand next to her at the microphone, and when
Dobrev pressed Lutz about it, he said it's because he doesn't want
people to think that he's her boyfriend.
According to the former "Twilight Saga" actor, there are five guys
rumored to be Dobrev's boyfriend at this point in time. Apparently even
as an "Expendables 3" star, he can't take that many rumored beaus at
once.
"Those are tabloids," she argues, but he insisted that there be a
"five-foot radius rule" between the two of them to avoid new rumors
sparking because they presented an award together.
If only there had been a camera cutaway to Dobrev's ex Ian
Somerhalder, who was sitting in the audience, then the comedic bit would
have solidified its awkwardness -- if comedy was even the intention.
Regardless, no one will be speculating that Dobrev and Lutz are dating
after that performance.
